The Club are delighted to announce the signing of Charlie Wakefield following his departure from Wealdstone.

The winger joins the Ravens having spent the first half of this season plying his trade in the Vanarama National League but had yet to match up against Bromley.

Charlie had previously been part of the Chelsea youth set up. He then spent time at Stevenage before joining up with Coventry City at the back end of the 2019/20 season. He featured nine times for the Sky Blues before joining Wealdstone ahead of the 2020/21 campaign. He has featured 13 times so far this season scoring twice.

After linking up with the Ravens, Wakefield expressed his enthusiasm to get the deal done quickly;

“I’m very, very pleased. Delighted to get it done so quick, now I can be involved on Saturday.”

He also spoke highly of the Club after his first day at Hayes Lane;

“It’s great. I’ve settled in really quick, the boys have been great they have been really welcoming to me. The staff too…everything feels right here.”
