The Bromley Boys is coming to a football club near you!

Bromley Football Club are pleased to be hosting a screening of “The Bromley Boys” film, which premieres tonight at Wembley Stadium. The screening will take place on Sunday 27th May, starting at 6pm.

The film, a wonderfully funny, feel good coming-of-age comedy, starring Martine McCutcheon, Alan Davies, Jamie Foreman and introducing Brenock O’Connor (Game of Thrones).

Inspired by the book The Bromley Boys by Dave Roberts, the film tells the story of the author as a 15-year-old and his passion for the worst football team in Britain: Bromley FC – situated in a district of South-East London. Set on the cusp of the 1970s and played out to the nostalgic sights and sounds of the era, including the music, wide collars and dubious moustaches, the film captures the lengths to which a devoted fan will go to save his beloved football club, and the difficulties thrown up when your first love turns out to be the belligerent club chairman’s daughter. THE BROMLEY BOYS is a story of the underdog coming good, of first love and the beautiful awkwardness that goes with it.

The impressive British cast is joined by Adam Deacon (Annuvahood), Ewen Macintosh (The Office) and Gareth Hale (Hale and Pace, Extras). The cast also includes several up-and-coming actors, including Ross Anderson, Anna Danshina and Betsy Blue-English who was discovered through a Bromley Borough wide talent search – in addition World Freestyle Footballer Sean Garnier, and a cameo from Rav Wilding (Crimewatch).

The Bromley Boys is directed by Steve Kelly (City Rats) and produced by TJ Herbert and Dean Fisher.

Tickets for the screening are available now, and can be purchased by clicking here. Please note, these will not be available to purchase on arrival on the day.
