Bromley Football Club are delighted to announce that Liam Trotter has agreed terms for the 2021/22 season.
The central midfielder re-joins having featured heavily for the Ravens last season.
Starting his career at Ipswich Town, Trotter made his first team breakthrough with the Tractor Boys in 2006, before enjoying loan spells with Millwall, Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United.
He then earned a permanent move to the Lions in 2010, where he would go on to spend four seasons, consisting of 138 appearances and 24 goals. During his time with the fellow South London side, Trotter had a short loan spell with Bolton Wanderers, for whom he would sign permanently in 2014.
After 57 appearances and four goals, as well as a short loan stint at Nottingham Forest, Trotter returned south and signed for AFC Wimbledon. He remained with Wimbledon until 2019, where he made the move across the pond to sign for Orange County in the USA.
Trotter formed partnerships with Billy Bingham and Jude Arthurs last season in the heart of midfield. Liam popped up with goals in our 2-2 draw with Barnet, and a half-volley finish in the 4-1 away win at King’s Lynn.
Trotter also earned praise for his performance in the 0-0 away draw at Torquay United in-front of the BT Sport cameras, as he came away with the Man of the Match award on the day.
Trotter is the latest addition to Andy Woodman’s 1st Team squad, joining up with the following for the new season;
