Update: Adam Mekki

  • Men's

Bromley Football Club can this afternoon provide an update on the condition of winger Adam Mekki, following his injury in Saturday’s match against Eastleigh.

The 27 year old went down in a collision in the penalty area shortly before half time, and was stretchered off the field of play.

After being taken to hospital, Mekki was assessed, and it was confirmed that he had dislocated his ankle and broken his fibula, meaning he will miss the remainder of the season.

On Sunday, he was operated on and the surgery was successful. After this took place, Mekki said; “Devastated to find out I’ve dislocated my ankle and broken my fibula. Thank you for all the messages of support. Surgery was a success so the road to recovery starts now.”

Everybody at the Club wishes Adam all the best in his recovery.
