Dear Supporter,
Having listened to your views, we feel it only right to acknowledge the feedback provided and for the Club to explain its thought process in further detail.
If we reflect prior to COVID, the Club had frozen season ticket prices for three years, and during this time introduced numerous initiatives, which included:
– Free tickets for Academy scholars
– Free tickets for Youth players
– Free tickets for Saturday Morning Soccer School attendees
– Free tickets for local Primary and Secondary school children
– Free admission for children attending with a paying adult or OAP
Inevitably, there comes a time when prices will increase, and this has been further exacerbated by the effects of the pandemic and the future requirements that could evolve from it.
Our foresight told us that the Government could continue with a stipulation for stadiums to restrict spectators moving from one stand to another, particularly when we enter the Winter period and a possible further influx of COVID infections and strains. That meant that we separated seating and standing, which has clearly become a challenged area amongst you, the Supporters.
As a Club, in hindsight, we were guilty of trying to plan too far ahead, forgetting, as clearly highlighted by yourselves, that the ability to freely move between stand and terrace is one of the many appeals of watching Bromley at Hayes Lane.
Therefore, in taking our Prime Minister’s word as it is today and making decisions based on what we hope will be in place from 19th July, we will work on the basis that none of those restrictions will be in place following that day, and our updated pricing structure will reflect this.
With the above in mind, the Club will be updating Supporters tomorrow with revised ticketing arrangements and payment options, ahead of Wednesday’s National League fixture release.
