Match Report: Glebe FC 0-2 Bromley

  • Men's

Bromley battled to a 2-0 win over a spirited Glebe side at Foxbury Avenue on Wednesday night.

George Porter was lively for Bromley in the opening stages, and after working himself into a good position, had a curling well saved Glebe goalkeeper. Dave Martin also saw a free kick fly well over the crossbar.

Porter then had another effort saved, this time from very close range. Trialist Harry Osborne also went close for the Ravens, but his header from Martin’s corner was blocked on the line by a defender.

The second half was a slightly more lively affair, and Tobi Sho-Silva went close to opening the scoring, but saw his volleyed effort fall just wide after a good team build up.

Moments later Sho-Silva made Bromley’s dominance count, as he rifled in an effort at the near post after unselfish work from Martin. It wasn’t long before Bromley’s lead was doubled, thanks to Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe who headed home a pinpoint cross from close range.

Chances were few and far between after this, and Bromley’s quickfire double was enough to seal the win.
