The Ravens clinched another home win on Saturday by beating Oldham Athletic 3-0 at Hayes Lane.
The game commenced with Bromley creating the first opportunity of the game. In the ninth minute, Reece Hannam’s cross produced a great header by Michael Cheek, but it was tipped over the bar by Magnus Norman.
Another chance came from a Bromley free-kick by Hannam, which fell out of the ‘keeper’s gloves and landed to Byron Webster, but the skipper’s effort went just over the bar.
Oldham threatened in the 24th minute, as a long shot from Luke Burgess looped just short of the post.
However, in the 33rd minute, It was Bromley opened the scoring. From James Vennings’ long throw, the ball bobbled down to Omar Sowunmi who smashed the it into the net to put the Ravens in front.
Just minutes after, the Ravens doubled their lead through a beautiful sequence in play. The pass came from Jude Arthurs, with the ball making its way through the Oldham defence to Hannam – which he smashed into the roof of the net, via a deflection.
After a few end to end chances at the start of the second half, a close chance came from Junior Luamba whose attempt fell wide of the post in the 54th minute.
Bromley killed the game on the hour mark through an own goal to seal yet another win for the Ravens to lift them further up the table.
