Josh Passley becomes our latest arrival

Bromley Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Josh Passley from National League South side Havant & Waterlooville for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old made 38 league appearances for the Hawks last season, netting on one occasion at home to Bath City back in October.

Passley began his career with Fulham, penning a professional contract in 2013 before making his debut in the FA Cup Fourth Round against Sheffield United the following year.

League Two loan spells at Shrewsbury Town and Portsmouth followed where he made a total of 18 league appearances before his time at Craven Cottage came to an end.

However, it was a quick return to EFL football as he penned a deal with Dagenham & Redbridge in 2015 where he’d go on to become a regular for the Daggers in his first and only season with the club.

Whitehawk proved to be his next destination before gaining his first taste of the top division of the National League as he made the move over to Dover Athletic, his final switch before Havant & Waterlooville came calling in May 2021.

Speaking after his arrival, manager Andy Woodman said: “Josh has had a brilliant season at Havant. He’s a player who had a lot of promise as a young man when he was at Fulham and a player I know particularly well.

“There’s no doubt about his strengths. He’s a powerful, fit and intelligent boy who can play a wing-back roll really well and will hopefully give us a lot of power down the right hand side.

“He’s a really good addition for the club and I’m delighted to have him on board. I’d also like to thank Havant & Waterlooville with how professional they have been with us.”

Welcome to Bromley, Josh!
