Report: Bromley 1-1 Halifax Town

The Ravens drew 1-1 with Halifax Town on Saturday. Despite Michael Cheek’s opener, the visitors quickly equalised to clinch a point.

Three minutes into the game, the first Halifax attempt came from Tylor Golden, whose shot fell just wide of the Bromley post.

Another close chance came in the 12 minute from a great cross by Harry Forster which just looped over the bar following a close range Cheek effort.

Deeper into the first half, a close chance from Emmanuel Dieseruvwe inside the box fell just short of the Bromley goal, keeping the scores even in the 24th minute.

In the 31st minute, the dazzling feet of James Vennings created another close chance for Forster, whose shot was blocked by the Halifax defender.

In the dying minutes of the first half, another chance was created by Vennings, which Whitley fizzed over the bar.

The first opportunity of the second half came from a Bromley corner, which Cheek headed short of the post.

Later into the second half, a beautiful sequence of passes from the Ravens put Cheek through on goal and he slotted the ball into the net with ease to open the scoring.

Just minutes later, Halifax responded with a goal from Jamie Cooke, through a rebounded header off the post to make the scores even once again.

End to end pressure followed, but neither side to clinch a late winner.
