Saturday’s draw with Aldershot Town also marked Louis Dennis’ 200th appearance for the club.
Now in his second spell at Hayes Lane, Louis commenced his football career in the youth ranks of Watford, before moving to Dagenham & Redbridge who were then a League Division 2 side, where he signed his first professional contract, and from whom he transferred to Bromley in February 2014.
He made his debut in a 2-3 defeat at Dorchester Town on the 15th when he replaced Danny Waldron in the 67th minute of the return Conference South fixture. He marked his debut by scoring Bromley’s second goal in the 87th minute.
The 30 year old made 157 appearances and netted 47 goals his first stint at Hayes Lane, with his best season coming in the 2017/18 campaign where he found the target on 22 occasions from 53 appearances.
His exploits caught the attention of the Portsmouth manager, who signed him in the summer of 2018 where, after one season in Hampshire, he transferred to Leyton Orient and spent two seasons at Brisbane Road making over fifty appearances for the East London side.
Louis is now back at Hayes Lane having returned for the commencement of the 2020/21 season. Since then, he has completed a further 43 games and added an additional six goals to his tally – five of which have come this season.
