Louis Dennis strike secures point at Barnet as Ravens secure play-off spot

Bromley will be finishing in a play-off spot again this season after a 1-1 draw away at Barnet on Tuesday night.

The Ravens almost opened the scoring with seconds on the clock as Idris Odutayo lofted the ball over the top to Ben Krauhaus who took a touch before firing low. However, Josh Keeley made a strong save to deny an early goal.

Seven minutes later and the Ravens were at it again. This time, Michael Cheek pounced on a defensive mistake before striking at goal, but he too was denied by the Barnet ‘keeper.

Cheek was in the thick of it again shy of the half-hour mark when Krauhaus did well to find him before he saw his effort saved.

On 30 minutes, it was Barnet’s turn to test the Bromley back-line when Dale Gorman was found on the edge of the box. However, his effort dipped narrowly over the bar before he came even closer in stoppage time, striking the post from close range.

Jude Arthurs floated in a cross moments after the restart which almost beat Keeley in the Barnet net, but the Barnet ‘keeper was on hand to tip over.

On 53 minutes, Barnet opened the scoring when a cross was fizzed in by Callum Stead and tapped home by Idris Kanu from close range.

Dennis came on on the hour and made the difference straight away, seeing a low shot from a tight angle saved before popping up with the leveller moments later. Krauhaus did well to find our number 11 who struck low into the bottom right corner as Keeley was eventually beaten.

The Ravens almost won it on 77 minutes when Kamarl Grant struck the post from close range, but it would end a point apiece at The Hive.
