Passley scores winner as Ravens beat Fylde 1-0.

Josh Passley netted the only goal of the game as the Ravens clinched all three points against AFC Fylde on Saturday.

It only took a matter of seconds for Bromley to start causing a threat when an early Lewis Leigh corner was whipped in towards the back-post, but Bes Topalloj couldn’t quite convert from a tight angle.

Moments later and Louis Dennis, who returned to the starting 11, had an effort at goal comfortably saved.

With only eight minutes on the clock, Bromley pressed for their third effort. This time, a Passley cross found another returning player in Callum Reynolds on the edge of the box who saw his shot blocked before the ball bounced to Deji Elerewe who forced Theo Richardson into a save from close range.

Dennis found the side-netting when the clock struck 21 before Corey Whitely had three chances in three minutes to make it 1-0, including a glorious opportunity where he blazed an effort over the bar from close range.

Reynolds latched onto another dangerous Leigh corner, but his header was expertly tipped over the bar by Richardson in the Fylde net.

Bromley’s number four floated in another fantastic set-piece shortly before the break. Elerewe was on the end of it this time, but his header flew wide of the post.

A half dominated by Bromley ended 0-0.

The second half proved to be the opposite and it was Fylde who nearly opened the scoring on 58 minutes when Grant Smith was called into action for the first time as Jon Ustabasi tested the Bromley ‘keeper.

The dead-lock was finally opened when Whitely did well to find Passley at the far post before the latter blasted home what proved to be the winning goal.

Despite a couple of nervy moments in the second period, the Ravens held on to clinch the win.

Up next, we welcome Aldershot Town on Tuesday night, hoping to make it back-to-back wins. Tickets are on sale by clicking here.
