Ravens clinch 3-0 win over Oldham

The Ravens got off to the better of starts as Bes Topalloj pulled the trigger with just four minutes on the clock, but his effort was well saved by Mathew Hudson in the Oldham net.

Up the other end and the visitors posed an attacking threat, but it would be the hosts who had the ball in the net first. However, they were denied by the linesman’s flag when Ben Krauhaus raced towards goal before playing through Corey Whitely who calmy slotted into the bottom right corner before being denied by the flag.

The linesman raised his flag again soon after when Mike Fondop looked to find the opener. Grant Smith made a fantastic save to deny the front-man, anyway.

The scoring was eventually opened moments before the half-hour mark when a ball across goal was flicked on by Ben Krauhaus before landing to Josh Passley who fired home at the back-post.

Fondop continued to cause problems, heading wide a Devarn Green cross, but it was Bromley who struck next. A corner fell to Louis Dennis who struck at goal before seeing his effort blocked and Sam Woods was there to smash home his second in as many games.

Two nearly became three on the hour mark when Bromley were awarded a penalty for a handball. Michael Cheek stepped up, but saw his effort well saved by the Oldham ‘keeper.

However, it wasn’t long before it was 3-0. Jude Arthurs did really well to win the ball before playing Whitely through who calmly slotted home, finding the bottom left corner.

Woods put in a fantastic block as Oldham looked to pull one back, but the Ravens managed to see out another three points along with a well-earned clean sheet.

Next up, we make the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday night and if you’re not making the trip, we’ll be showing the game live in Broomfields.
