A Michael Cheek brace plus goals from Ben Krauhaus and Olufela Olomola sealed a fantastic 4-1 win over Hartlepool United on Saturday.
The Ravens got off to the perfect start when they opened the scoring with just five minutes on the clock. Bes Topalloj, Krauhaus and Corey Whitely produced some fantastic attacking play before the latter set up Cheek who smashed the ball into the bottom left corner.
Jude Arthurs returned to the starting line-up and put in a fantastic tackle to deny a racing Jake Hastie soon after.
Away from the goals, the best chance of the half fell to Whitely who had the whole Hartlepool half to himself. He charged towards goal before attempting to round Joel Dixon, but the Pools’ number one got down low, stuck a hand out and stopped the attacker in his tracks.
Up the other end and Tom Crawford saw a long range effort whistle wide before Arthurs almost made it two when he tried his luck from the edge of the box on 38 minutes.
One did eventually become two moments later when a corner from the left eventually found Cheek who smashed home his brace via a deflection to give the visitors a two-goal lead going into the break.
Grant Smith was called into action early into the second half, saving a Mani Dieseruvwe header. However, the Hartlepool striker did celebrate a goal soon after, pulling one back for the hosts.
The Ravens quickly prevented the celebrations from continuing when Whitely hoofed a ball up the pitch, finding Dennis who played through Krauhaus. The Academy graduate, who penned a new deal this week, buried goal number three for Bromley.
Deji Elerewe had the ball in the net soon after, but the linesman’s flag denied goal number four.
More dangerous play from Whitely saw him play through Dennis before the latter struck an effort into the side-netting before Elerewe was at it again, this time striking wide from range.
Any belief of a Hartlepool comeback were completely torn apart on 90 minutes when a Bromley counter-attack saw Olufela Olomola race towards goal before slotting home.
