Ravens secure first clean sheet in Kidderminster draw

It proved to be a dramatic first period with the hosts providing the first real chance as a free-kick was delivered towards the back-post before it was met with a dangerous header, subsequently landing onto the roof of the net.

Soul Kader was forced off with an injury after going down under a hefty challenge just before the quarter-of-an-hour mark. However, he did return to the pitch, but it was soon clear that he couldn’t continue and was replaced by debutant Bim Peppel.

The Ravens, who were temporarily down to 10 men whilst Kader received treatment, were permanently down to 10 when Cole Kpekawa was shown a red card for an off-the-ball incident.

Grant Smith produced some excellent goalkeeping to keep the scores level as Kidderminster continued to press whilst Bromley made their second change in the opening 25 minutes as Ben Krauhaus made way for Jude Arthurs.

More chances fell the hosts’ way, but the scores remained goalless going into the second 45.

Jack Lambert tested Smith just past the hour mark with a bullet of a free-kick. The Kidderminster number 11 would then go on to receive two yellow cards as both sides finished the game with 10 men.

With the clock ticking down, Caleb Richards burst forward before dipping an effort just over the bar before Kieran Phillips poked over a dangerous cross as we edged closer to stoppage time.

Six minutes were added and in that additional time, Michael Cheek saw a shot-on-the-turn deflect wide before a looping header up the other end dipped over Smith and came back out off the post.

The referee blew for full-time as the Ravens came away with their first clean sheet of the season.
