The Ravens drew 1-1 away at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
The first real chance of the game fell the hosts’ way as Colin Daniel tried his luck from range after being set-up by a short free-kick. The Scunthorpe number 23 struck low, but it was comfortable enough for Reice Charles-Cook.
Up the other end, almost immediately after Daniel’s effort, Corey Whitely nearly opened the scoring, cutting inside before bending a curling shot just past the post.
Louis Dennis then tried his luck after twisting and turning before striking low. However, again, it whizzed past the post.
Cameron Wilson caused Bromley all sorts of problems in the first half and after racing through on goal on 12 minutes, he set up Mason O’Malley who struck past Charles-Cook’s post.
It was an end-to-end half with both sides posing an attacking threat. However, neither could open the scoring going into the break.
Charley Kendall came on at half-time for his Bromley debut and almost made the immediate impact, drilling a shot low from a tight angle, but it whizzed narrowly past the post.
The Ravens did eventually break the dead-lock on 56 minutes though as James Vennings did well to fizz a ball across goal for Michael Cheek to poke home from close range.
One almost became two just past the hour mark as Kellen Fisher burst forward before striking wide via a deflection.
Scunthorpe piled the pressure on in the closing moments of the game and they popped up with a late equaliser after Elliott Whitehouse scrambled the ball home.
Bes Topalloj almost won it for Bromley with a shot-on-the-turn late on, but it wasn’t to be and the Ravens could only come away with a point.
Next up for the Ravens, a home game against Maidenhead next Saturday and tickets are now on sale here.
