U23s duo head out on loan

We can confirm that striker and First Year Pros, Soul Kader and Charlie Nicholas, have joined Met Police and Walton & Hersham respectively on a one-month loan.

Kader, who spent the back end of last season on loan at Cray Wanderers, has played a huge part in our U23s Professional Development Squad of late.

Ahead of his move to our Hayes Lane partners, Kader bagged an impressive 14 goals in 16 appearances before adding a couple more on his return. He played a vital role in the young Ravens’ title push which saw them narrowly miss out on the silverware.

The striker also played a key role in our FA Youth Cup side both last campaign and the season before where he helped his side to successive round three finishes. Most notably, he netted a hat-trick during the Ravens’ qualifying tie away at Barnet last time round.

His prolific form has caught the eye of Andy Woodman with Kader training amongst the first team on a number of occasions and was named as an unused substitute in the Ravens’ FA Trophy win over Dover Athletic.

As for Nicholas, he is also a product of our Academy and U23’s and has since been around Woodman’s first team too.

Last season saw the defender receive the nod in the FA Trophy whilst also receiving a couple of unused sub appearances in the National League.

Ahead of the 2022-23 season, Nicholas received his just rewards by signing a First Year Pro contract as he continues to train with the senior players.

We wish the duo all the best.
