Unbeaten league run comes to an end for Bromley Women

Going into Sunday’s trip to Montpelier Villa, Bromley Women hadn’t tasted defeat in a league fixture so far this campaign. Seven games in and the Ravens won every single one, hitting the ground running for 2023/24.

Their last league game came on 18th October in a 6-0 win over Welling United. Since then, they went on to make history, becoming the first ever Bromley side to reach the Second Round of the FA Cup.

As for Sunday’s opposition, they had won only five in their 11 league outings so far this campaign.

However, it would be Montpelier Villa who came away victorious at the weekend, winning 2-1.

Bryony Hart netted Bromley’s only goal whilst Eugenia Lopez Alvarez and Ruby Warden bagged for the hosts.

Up next for Bromley, a trip to table topping Newhaven on Sunday at the Fort Road Recreation Ground, kicking off at 2pm.
