Bromley secured the signing of Grant Smith following his departure from Yeovil Town.

The 29-year-old, who spent the past two seasons in the National League with the Glovers, began his career in the youth setup at Reading and Fulham before joining Brighton & Hove Albion’s development squad.

During his time with the Seagulls, he gained his first taste of men’s football whilst on loan at Bognor Regis Town in 2014 and would return to the club after permanent spells at Hayes & Reading and Farnborough. In his second spell at The Rocks, he would make a name for himself, clinching the Fan’s Player of the Year award and playing a vital role in their FA Trophy run.

Smith would eventually be awarded a move to the National League with Borehamwood, including the 2017-18 season, where he would help them finish 4th, achieving a playoff place and two England C Caps during that season.

The keeper would then step up in his career as he would sign for League Two side Lincoln City, where he would make 22 appearances for the Imps, winning a League Title in the process.

During his time at Lincoln, he would return on loan to the National League with spells at Maidstone United and his former club, Borehamwood, respectively.

Grant left the LNER Stadium before two further National League loan spells at Wealdstone and Chesterfield before penning a deal with Yeovil Town in 2021.
