Bromley signed midfielder Sam Woods following his departure from fellow National League side Barnet.

The Bromley-born 24-year-old began his career at the Crystal Palace youth set-up, where he would make his senior debut in 2018, coming on as a substitute in the EFL Cup against Middlesborough. A first start would come, playing the full 90 minutes at Selhurst Park in a 0-0 draw against Colchester United in the same competition.

Woods would shortly move to Scotland, which saw him spend time on loan at Hamilton Academical, where he made three appearances in the Scottish Premiership, scoring on his debut against Livingston.

A loan spell in the EFL would follow a year later as he joined Plymouth Argyle, making nine appearances in League One.

October 2021 saw his time at Palace end as he joined Barnet, where he would briefly go on loan to Cheshunt.

Woods would enjoy 40 National League appearances for the Bees, netting his first and only goal in a 6-0 win over Dover Athletic whilst featuring for Barnet in both league meetings against Bromley last season.
