Youth Academy update – 16th January

It was a fairly quiet weekend on the JPL front for our Youth Academy teams as we only have two games to bring you this week.

We start with our U14 Girls who were looking to clinch another victory following last weekend’s 3-1 win over Grays Athletic. However, this weekend proved to be that little bit more difficult. Despite a brilliant performance, they were on the wrong side of a 5-1 score-line when they came up against Charlton.

The girls faced a strong academy side, but their performance showed signs of progression. A huge shout-out to right-back Niamh Stanley who picked up the Player of the Match award.

Moving on to our U16 Girls and they went into Saturday’s game against Ruislip full of confidence after last weekend’s 4-0 win over Sudbury.

Despite going 1-0 down, the Ravens won 3-1 thanks to goals from Bryony Hart and Eden Naish alongside a Ruislip own goal to seal the win, putting on a fantastic first half performance.

As ever, a huge thank you to Glemnet and Group LK for their continued support and we wish all of our sides all the best going into next weekend’s fixtures.
