Youth Academy update: Saturday 13th January

Our Youth Academy sides returned to action on Saturday.

Starting with our U12 Boys and they despite defending really well, they were edged out by Three Bridges, losing 2-1. The progress of the U12’s has been amazing and they went into the fourth quarter at 0-0 before Elliot Morris opened the scoring. However, Three Bridges turned the game on its head to clinch the win. Elliot also picked up the Player of the Match award for scoring once before netting a strike.

Moving on to our U13 Boys and they lost 6-3 to Woking despite putting in their best performance of the season so far, dominating the majority of the game against a strong side.

However, it was victory for our U14 Boys who beat Arsenal Women U16’s 6-0! The intensity was much better, winning balls much higher up the pitch. Both trialists did really well, scoring four of the six goals. Kayden Scannell bagged a hat-trick whilst Freddie Dixon, Liam Danaher and Jaydn Wright also wrote their names on the score-sheet. A huge well done to Malakai Suleimen who put in a Player of the Match performance, winning a lot of the ball and his distribution was much improved too.

Moving on to our U14 Girls and they beat Medway District 5-2, despite conceding two within the first 15 minutes. The Ravens went into half-time 3-2 up after turning the game on its head and in the second period, they dictated play by maintaining possession and adding two more goals to their tally. Isabel Jose, who won Player of the Match after coming on as a sub, netted a brace whilst Isla Mason, Elsa Rock and debutant Rosie Farrow-Smith also netted.

Our U16 Boys lost their first game in the league 3-1 to PSA Kent. Zane Rayfield netted the only goal for the Ravens whilst George Rees clinched the Player of the Match award.

As ever, a huge thank you to Group LK and Glemnet for their continued support.
