Youth Academy update: Saturday 25th November

Another busy weekend of football has passed for our Youth Academy sides as they returned to JPL action on Saturday.

Starting with our U12 Boys and they unfortunately fell to a 7-2 defeat against South Park despite enjoying plenty of scoring chances in the second quarter. Ebik Gurung bagged twice for the Ravens whilst also clinching the Player of the Match award too.

As for our U13 Boys, they lost 5-0 to London Athletic as they endured a weekend with missing players on a muddy grass pitch. Kian Taylor put in another brilliant performance, as did Jake Trim.

Our U14 Boys also fell to defeat as they lost 3-1 to Woking. Riley W netted the only Bromley goal as Tyler also put in a brilliant display, stopping almost everything that went near him.

Moving onto our U14 Girls and they lost 3-1 away to Motspur Park despite playing well, dominating the ball and creating chances. Isabelle netted the only goal for the Ravens whilst Jess put in a great display.

Our U15 Boys suffered their first league defeat of the season as they were on the receiving end of a 4-2 score-line against Soccer Elite. Despite hitting the post three times, they were beaten by the better side. Tommy clinched the Player of the Match award whilst Jack and Calum wrote their names on the scoresheet.

Our U16 Boys drew 2-2 away to Slough, although the Ravens should have scored more. They found themselves 1-0 down, but managed to turn the game on its head before the Rebels drew level with five minutes remaining.

Brody Cockerill put in a brilliant performance in and out of possession to clinch the Player of the Match award. He wrote his name on the scoresheet, as did Zak.

Our U16 Girls won 2-1 away at Sudbury on Saturday, coming from 1-0 down to clinch the win. The Ravens introduced two debutants and the goals came from Ava Killaly and Dotty Blagden. Niamh Stanley also picked up the Player of the Match award.

As ever, a huge thank you to Group LK and Glemnet for their continued support.
